Information about Journal

The Society publishes its bi-annual Journal (June and December) Man and Environment (ISSN: 0258-0446).

This journal is in the UGC-CARE list.

Authors are not charged for publishing the articles and notes, book reviews, obituaries and conference news.

This journal publishes recent and original research in the field of South Asian archaeology, including related topics in environmental, anthropological and historical disciplines. The journal has five types of contributions: research articles, short notes, review articles, obituaries, and seminar and conference news. Books are welcome for reviews. The editors will send the book to suitable scholars to be reviewed.

How to buy a Journal?

Journal is sold only in Hard copy format. Individual articles are not for sale. The coat of each issue from June 2023 (Volume 48) onwards is Rs. 1500/-

After selecting required volume/s from the list one can ask for Invoice by writing to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

After receiving our Invoice, one should send Demand Draft or Cheque (subject to realization) in favour of "Indian Society for Prehistoric and Quaternary Studies" by post to our address. Please send a hard copy of our Invoice along with it.

Supply of required volumes will be made by post along with payment receipt from us.
